At the outset, let me welcome you all to our Yashwantrao Chavan Law College which is one of the reputed and NAAC accredited Law Colleges in the city of Pune. While you have taken a right decision to enter into legal profession, I would like to share my thoughts with you. Legal education has two goals to achieve. One is imparting knowledge of law and the second is preparing the trainees to use the same in the chosen profession that could be law practice, judicial service, corporate world etc.
You will enter the professional field after passing the final year degree in Law. Please keep in mind, that Law, as a profession, is a very satisfying one. It fulfills your intellectual quest and at the same time provides immense opportunities of earning and elevating your status to the topmost of the society. However, your aim must be to earn by serving and not to serve by earning. Legal practice is considered to be one of the noblest professions on earth and therefore, I welcome you again in this profession and wish you all the best luck in your future endeavour.
